Once your Hotplate storefront is open for business, your next step is to start getting customers to subscribe to your SMS list. Unlike your social media followers (which can include people who aren’t local and are just fans of your content) your SMS list will be made of potential customers who actually intend to place an order.
The more people you have in your SMS list, the more orders you’ll see instantly when you publish new events. Most Hotplate businesses that sell out regularly have at least 3-5x the number of subscribers as they do inventory available.
This toolkit is meant to help you understand how to talk to your customers about Hotplate as well and provide resources to help promote your storefront in person and online. Feel free to use any/all of our templates and copy and paste any text directly. Everything here is yours to use in way you think would best benefit your business!
You don’t have to be a skilled designer to make good looking marketing collateral - just use Canva! It’s free to make an account, and you can unlock some extra features with their paid version if you need it.
We’ve put together a few Canva templates to get you started. Be sure to update the photos and colors to better match your brand and business! Anywhere there’s a link or QR code, be sure to replace it with your unique storefront link.
